Genealogical work

A Since the spring of 2016, I have been trying to write my family history and, for this, I do genealogical research.

I go from surprise to surprise. One that involves beyond my family is the discovery of the existence of a great-great-aunt who emigrated in 1893, aged 16, alone, to San Francisco, California. It is about Marie Touya (1877-1976) married Lamotte. A cousin, some friends and I try to find all the elements of his journey and tell in French and English his astonishing and tragic story.

While waiting for the publication of all our texts, you can read here the most concise, written by Sandra Frary.

You will also find the history of Marie and her family on the GENEANET genealogical site (written by Joan Lounibos).
