Why ČHEY (or CHEY)

I took Chey as my artist name for several reasons:

- I signed my paintings, from 14 to 67 years old, "Claude", then decided to stop competing ... Monet and Le Lorrain;

- it's shorter and simpler than my official "usual" name, my maiden name being "worse";

- it is my signature in everyday life;

- it is not sure that this is my final signature, Hokusai has changed more than once and I hope to live as old as him by improving myself like him!
